Pool & Spa Service Apprenticeship Program

PSATC’s Apprenticeship Program offers a registered apprenticeship and training program to help employers develop a world-class workforce, boost productivity, maximize cost-effectiveness, and promote workforce development.

These 2000 hours of on-the-job training, combined with a minimum of 144 hours of related instruction provided by experts in the pool and spa industry, will guarantee that graduates become well-qualified, job-ready employees.

The Apprenticeship Program will take twelve months to complete, after which the California Department of Labor’s Office of Apprenticeship Training provides the participants that successfully complete the program a journeyman credential.

Learn: Industry leaders teach about the core competencies and technical skills to be successful in the Pool and Spa Service Industry early, often, and over a career.

Earn: Get paid while you are going to school and undertaking daily hands-on projects overseen by a journeyman mentor - with all program tuition paid by your employers.

Return: After graduating from the PSATC Apprenticeship Program in 12 months, return as a journeyman with a salary increase - having earned the respect of your fellow employees and enhanced stature in the industry for being a PSATC graduate. Each graduating apprentice will receive a Certificate of Completion from the California Division of Apprenticeship Standards (DAS).
